I had always loved writing, but I had never really done any poetry. It seemed at that time to be the only way to say anything.

I wanted to be around my mother's family. It was really important to me. That was the place where she had spent her life.

I always knew I wanted to come back.

I'm always writing tidbits of poems here and there. I'm still writing, just not as much.
